I am trying to install the Zet 80186 system on a DE1 which requires a BIOS to be flashed at 0x0 and a floppy image at 0x20000.
I am using Control Panel V2.0.1 My first attempt completed but the system would not boot from the floppy image. I assumed that there must be a problem with the image and attempted to erase and reflash. I have reflashed the BIOS several times but every attempt to reflash the floppy image fails immediately. The error message is odd, it says "Write to FLASH Fail.[5.5sec]." This seems to imply that the write failed after so many seconds. The precise figure varies but is always greater than the few milliseconds that it actually takes. Just above the error message is "Note. Please erase flash before first writing data" I suspect that the flash chip has died and won't erase but I would like to exhaust the possibilities before sending the board back. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a simple way to test the flash?Link Copied

This issue seems to have resolved itself after a reboot of the PC. I have no idea what was wrong.
