Configuration Device Quandry

I designed my EP3C16 board with a Numonyx M25P16-VMC6TG configuration devices used in AS mode. This is more memory than I need, but it comes in a very small package (4X3mm). I had several prototype boards built, but now it's time for production and the parts are nowhere to be found. Is there another family besides the M25PXX that I should be looking at? It would be great to find a drop-in replacement, but I'd be willing to make a change to the PCB if there were an equivalent part in the same size (or smaller) package. Any help would be appreciated.

Both Atmel and Spansion make device families that are compatible, but I'm not certain re: the packaging.

I know these devices should be compatible:

Thanks for the info, good to know for future use. Neither of these comes in the 4X3mm package.

If you search digikey,

M25P16-VMC6TG is available.

I just discovered that today. Either they weren't available yesterday, or I was in some kind of delusional state when I did my search.

Now I see the problem. I use findchips.com to search for availability. They show no stock at Digi-Key. If I go directly to the Digi-Key website, I see them in stock.
