Cyclone V SX transceiver ethernet

Hi,

I'm looking to possibly implement 1000BASE-KX using the TSE IP and the GXB transceivers. Am I able to route the transceivers directly to the backplane connections or do I require additional phy capabilities to do so outside of the Cyclone V?

Thank you.

HI,

Cyclone V FPGA transceiver channel doesn't support backplane. So, you won't find any Ethernet IP targeting backplane support for Cyclone V FPGA.

For backplane support, it's mainly for more high end FPGA like Arria 10.

I am sorry but it seems like we don't have Ethernet IP solution support for 1000BASE-KX. Even Triple Speed Ethernet (TSE) IP for high end FPGA is not designed to support backplane as well
