A couple of years back I purchased a DEO-Nano to follow and duplicate a users project with LED displays. Since then I have not opened the box. I would like to take another crack at it and need some tutorials to start on. I have worked with micro-controllers in the past but not a strong programmer in C. BASIC primarily and similar ones.
Welcome back! For FPGA design, you'll want to get familiar with HDL coding, either Verilog or VHDL. You can get started on this and using the tools by going to the Altera training web site:http://www.altera.com/training There are free online training classes there for everything you need to get started, including learning an HDL. Check them out and if you have questions, come back here!
Take a look at the ESC-104 paper, slides, and code ...https://www.ovro.caltech.edu/~dwh/correlator/cobra_docs.html It was written targeting the DE0-nano. You can use the examples in there to get started. Cheers, Dave
I can share basic project done on DE0-Nano, including a basic controller to read/write the DDR3 memory.Ping me for more info, I can publish on git hub. What do you want to do with the board.
