DE10-Nano SoC LXDE and custom FPGA

Good day All, I have tried to program the "my_first_fpga" program available on the SystemCD using the USB Blaster, however that stops my Linux kernel (I am assuming it stops running the soc_system.rbf file). I would like to know if it is possible to run a custom FPGA SoC program (a program that uses the FPGA and HPS) on a DE10-Nano SoC running the LXDE version (obtained from Terasic)? Regards, M

Hi MR3

Sorry you cant flash a custom FPGA SOC program(FPGA & HPS) and have the Linux LXDE running.

However, you could flash only a custom FPGA portion and still have the Linux LXDE running.

Hi MR3

Sorry for the confusion.

After digging further I found some new information.

It is possible to run a bare-metal program and running the Linux Distribution.

DE10 has a Cyclone5 SOC which has a dual CortexA9.

Theoretically it is possible to run a bare-metal program on one core and a Linux Distribution on another.

However we do not support Asymmetrical Multiprocessing.
