Dear Support,

I have a question for EP2C5F256C8N, Kindly help to check and confirm.
There are two date codes 2043 & 2201.

Please refer to attached photo.

For the date code 2201, the solder side have this visible traces whilst for the date code 2043 the traces are not visible in the solder side. Kindly advise what are the causes of this differences and is this just normal?

Thank you for reaching out to Intel FPGA Community.


For your question, as what I checked with the internal team, it is confirm that the difference seen in the appearance is due to the different substrates used for DC 2043 and DC 2201. However, both are qualified substrates.


DC 2201 is using old selective gold process that’s why we are seeing more traces on the bottom site. You do not have to worry on the difference you seen here.
