EPC1441PC8, I am looking for an alternitive chip since this one is out of production. This is a repair job so it has to be a good replacement. I also thought I read that it is a SRAM and not an eprom...etc.
This is a 8-dip package. As a last resort, is it possible to use other package and just wire the pins to where they suppose to go? Thank you.

Hi bobbebob,
as Altera configuration device of EPC1441 is obsolete then an alternative from Microchip/Atmel AT17LV family can be a solution for you. There is AT17LV512A device in plastic DIP8 package mentioned as EPC1441 alternative.
