Are these machine washable with water once the assembled to the board. Another way of asking is are they compliant with IPC-CH-65A standards

Hi,

The EPCQ16ASI8N is a 8 pin SOIC. 04r00424-00.pdf (intel.com). This is a plastic package and is non hermetic. This means that moisture can enter the plastic.

This device is washable and need to make sure the device and the board are baked dry after the wash process.

As for the IPC-CH-65A, this is the Guideline for PCB Cleaning. You will need to follow the standard.

Thanks.

Regards,

Aiman
