EPM3032A replacement

I have to replace an EPM3032A in an existing design.  It was originally programmed using Quartus II Version 8.0.  It is a very simple application using about half the I/O and even less of the functions.  Will this code run on a EPM7032AE?

The POF file will not directly work. You will need to recompile the design using the '7032AE as the target to generate a new POF file.

Electrically the parts should be compatible (VccINT, VccIO, etc).

QuartusIIWeb 13.0sp1 is the last version that supports the MAX EPM7000/EPM3000 series parts.

Hi Tom

Functionally it should work. You have to check on the power specification and pin connection of both devices for proper design migration.

Please refer to below documents for both Max 3000 and 7000:

Thanks.
