Experiences running VXworks on a Cyclone5

Folks,

I've been developing on a Xilinx Zynq-7000 for a few years now, previous to that I used Stratix's and Cyclone 4s. I've grown used to using the Zynq but recently, our design team at work started to gravitate towards possibly switching architectures and moving back to Altera (Cyclone5 SE) for a few reasons, but mainly, it seems like the support is much better. Additionally, we'd like to start using VXworks on our platforms and the VXworks/Altera integration seems more straightforward. Our application is mainly a small, embedded SDR.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and if so, any words of wisdom?

Thanks.
