FFT Capabilities

Hello,

I have a question in regards to the FFT v9.1 module (the most recent one that Quartus Web Based version supports). My design calls for the input signal to be shifted by a fixed amount in the frequency spectrum, essentially making it a "pitch shifter."

I am aware of the basic functions of the FFT, but at some point I'll need to manipulate the data. Will the multipliers in the FFT be able to shift the bins for me internally? Or will I instead have to create my own design to do this for me? Once that's complete, I can take care of the rest by feeding it through an IFFT.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

And just for further reference, I'm designing this on the Cyclone chip (model# EP1C12F324CB).

Thanks,

Allan S.
