I have an sof and jic file for a CycloneV device with an MX25L12833FM2I SPI-flash.
I need to program the SPI-flash with an external burner (programmer) from HiLo systems.
What is the file I need for this.
I understand I can do the conversion from the sof or jic file from Quartus.
There are several choices like rpd, pof etc.
Which one do I need to create for using an external burner.

Hello,
For secondary programming file, you may want to refer to this link : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683039/21-3/secondary-programming-files-programming.html
for 3rd party programmer, normally other users choose .rbf or .rpd files.

Hi Farabi:
Apologies for late reply.
We are going to try the .rpd file today.
Looks like that is the one to use for active serial.
Will let you know.
Thank you.

The .rpd file programmed into the spi-flash with the HiLo programmer but it did not work for the FPGA.
Need to socket the device to try other formats.

Hello,
Do you have HiLo programmer link so i can relate? I thought HiLo is a connector for highspeed DDR4/QDR RAM.

Hi Farabi:
Thanks for the responses.
That was a coincidence for HiLo
We use the HiLo external burner.
Link is https://www.hilosystems.com/en-gb/product/category/4
We have the AL-200 programmer.
Thanks

Hello Murali,
You can try .svf file for programming the FPGA.

Hi Farabi:
Not sure why you are asking me to try an .svf file.
The link you added appears to indicate: "In the Quartus Prime software, go to the Tools menu and select JTAG Chain Debugger"
That is *not* what I was trying to do. Not even close actually.
I am trying to use an external programmer - the HiLo standalone programmer.
Not sure if I misunderstood what you mentioned about the .svf file. Did you want me to use that to create another format?
My original question was:
"I need to program the SPI-flash with an external burner (programmer) from HiLo systems.
What is the file I need for this."
Let me know if you need more clarification.
Maybe I am missing something. Let me know.
Thanks

Hello Murali,
Agree with FvM, you need to check the flash programmed by the external programmer. We dont have the knowledge on HiLo programmer.
