I can't program...

Hello,

I come back with another error.

Before today, I could program my EPM3064AL44-10N. But since today, I haven't programed it....

I didn't change the electronic hardware

I made a special board to program my CPLD (maybe it's the electronic around the cpld...). Nothing change.

The compile is allrigth, but when I want program I have this error message :

--- Quote Start ---

Error: JTAG Server can't access selected programming hardware

Error: Operation failed

Info: Ended Programmer operation at Wed Nov 24 22:53:06 2010

Info: Started Programmer operation at Wed Nov 24 22:53:02 2010

--- Quote End ---

I don't really understand about the first error (the second, ok I understand it ^^).

I tested the Terasic Blaster usb : when I click on the hardware device, the terasic blaster flashes once when I leave this windows, it flashes twice. When I see in the pc system, I see my Terasic blaster is connected. When I disconnect my terasic blaster, I see everywhere (pc + hardware device) that there isn't a terasic blaster was connected.

On my programmable board, I changed the cpld three times...

I verified my connections twice...

Oh... to finish, I changed the terasic blaster too...the first heat when I connected it to usb. I verify the PC usb with a usb key, and it's ok.

Thank you

Have you tried JTAG Chain Debugger? What does it say?

yes, I tried it : no device detected with one PC (windows vista 32bits) and the other one (windows xp) it said

--- Quote Start ---

error : JTAG chain problem detected

error : no device detected

error : the tdo connection to the download cable might bo shorted to VCC or is an open circuit

error : the tck and TMS connection to the last device might have problem

--- Quote End ---

I changed the cpld 6 times.... and I tried with the bytebaslterII too (parallel port) with the XP PC. Impossible programming...

What's wrong?

To explain the schema : 3 pull-up resistor on TCK, TDO, TDI

USB blaster------ CPLD

TDO -------------TDO

TDI---------------TDI

TCK--------------TCK

TMS--------------TMS

On the VCC of the board I have à 47u capacitor (it'sn't in the schema).

Thank you for your help

You normally pull Tck down, and also pull Tms up.

Josyb => ok, but my schema worked before... before ^^

Finally, with a third PC, I can programm but currently, without changing nothing... Tomorrow I will test with the two first PC.

I wondered whether that really could be the problem ...

I have seen that on the latest boards (and perhaps earlier as well) Altera puts a termination circuit on the Tck signal (at the last pin in that net), although they mark it DNI (Do Not Insert). But I always put that termination. Perhaps the 1k pull down just helps enough.

Who supplies the 3.3V to the EPM, not the cable I presume?
