Hello,
Is Altera's hardcopy a Structured-ASIC or simply an ASIC? Although few research articles (in different conferences) by Altera talk about FPGA to Structured-ASIC conversion. However, altera's website calls Hardcopy simply an ASIC. Is it some marketing strategy, or is there some delicate technical difference? -HusainLink Copied

It's structured ASIC. You can control only the top metal layers when migrate to ASIC.
