MAX-10: IP core for UFM

I have instantiated the Altera on-chip flash IP core to use the MAX-10's UFM, but Quartus does not generate programming files since the one of the modules of the IP core is encrypted. I tried to use the IP core with Open core feature enabled (Evaluation Mode) but Quartus still does not generate the programming files. Any idea what may have gone wrong? Besides can anyone please also share where to contact Intel/Altera to get a quote for IP cores?

Hi,

Can you attach the Compiler report?

Elaborate more on the steps and IP's used in your design.

Refer below link for more information on Steps and IP licensing.

1. Compiler report attached.

2. This design is using Altera On-chip flash memory. After adding the IP using Qsys, I created a top level module that interfaced and instantiated the IP. And I am using standard edition of the Quartus with Open Core hardware evaluation mode enabled.

Hi,

Can't open the file.

After compiling the project can you "right click" on "message window" and save the file and attach.

Hi Sarmad,

1. It's is a licensing issue. You design uses few IPs which required the license.

2. Contact your local sales or distributor. Some IP is free for evaluation. Contact your local sales or distributor for details.

3. You can try to get Free academic licenses for software and IP from below link. 1)license request ->University Program->click on academic licenses.

Thanks Anand,

I contacted Cytech about six months ago but haven't got any response till yet. Contacted Terrasic, they very politely declined saying that they distribute hardware only. Contacted some otherdistributors as well this week and waiting for their response. Regarding free academic licenses for IP cores: placed a request and got license for IP bundle under University Program, but it didn't include On-chip flash memory IP and was told that University program does not include this IP core. I hope Intel reviews this since this is a very basic function IP.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the your reply. I tried to contact Intel India through phone but for some reason the line didn't connect. Contacted them via social media platform and was told that they don't handle support for Altera products. They asked me to file a service request with Altera, which I promptly did but they replied that "support for your chosen area has been discontinued". Have already contacted some of the distributors but didn't get any positive response or any response for that matter from most of them. Would appreciate if you could let me know which forum to access for this product/information. Thanks
