This part has been used in many identical PCBs, all power voltage is correct when we want to program this is the error we get when we want to Program
Error (209025): Can't recognize silicon ID for device 1. A device's silicon ID is different from its JTAG ID. Verify that all cables are securely connected, select a different device, or check the power on the target system. Make sure the device pins are connected and configured correctly.

Could you please tell me where can be the error?

Does this happen after you've clicked Auto Detect in the Programmer and selected the correct device part number?

This error message could be due to wrong part number selected in quartus, blaster or device issue. Also, you mentioned that some batch is not having issue. May i know how many pieces is having issue? or only 1?

Hello everybody,
I think we have encountered the same problem as Alberto.
We ordered the components on the Alibaba platform because of the electronic component shortage several months ago.
The date code is BCRAJ2007A so year of production: 2020 work week: 7.
When I run 1 IDCODE iteration test with the tool JTAG Chain Debugger included with Quartus Prime Programmer,
I get a difference.
!Info: Performed 1 iteration(s) of the IDCODE test
!Info: JTAG chain connection is good and consistent. Detected 2 device(s)
!Info: Device 1: 5M1270Z (USERCODE: 0x00626A21)
!Info: Device 2: 5M1270Z (USERCODE: 0x0061FFB8)
!Info: JTAG chain connection is good. Detected 2 device(s)
!Info: Device 1: 5M1270Z/EPM1270 (USERCODE: 0x00000000) <- BAD CHIP GVALANCO
!Info: Device 2: 5M1270Z/EPM1270 (USERCODE: 0x00000000) <- BAD CHIP GVALANCO
!Info: Performed 1 iteration(s) of the IDCODE test
!Info: JTAG chain connection is good and consistent. Detected 2 device(s)
!Info: Device 1: 5M1270Z (USERCODE: 0x006253D8)
!Info: Device 2: 5M1270Z (USERCODE: 0x0061C12C)
None of the CPLD ordered on the Alibaba platform could be programmed. Each time we got the silicon ID error.
For these components I see a difference.
It says 5M1270Z/EPM1270 that is MAX V or MAX II.
Both 5M1270Z and EPM1270 have IDCODE=0x020A30DD. This code is in the handbooks.
Is it the expected behavior for the 2020 ones?
Thanks for your help,
Guillaume
