PLDT-2 Trainer

Greetings,

I have the PLDT-2 trainer from RSR Electronics. It has the old style parallel cable. I have used it in the past with Quartus II without difficulty for schematic and design entry. We received new PCs in our lab with Windows 7. They do have a parallel port. The PCs don't recognize the trainer. By don't recognize I mean they show nothing connected to the parallel port. The trainer does have power. Does anyone have any suggestions besides purchasing new trainers with a USB connection?

Thanks.

I would check the bios on the system, and see if changing the parallel port mode makes a difference.

You can also try running in XP mode to see if it makes a difference or run an virtual machine..
