Please confirm that this GND ball is redundant.

I need to rework a board, and the rework is easier (less risky) if I can remove a ball that appears to be a redundant GND ball. All other GND balls are connected to GND.

 

The device is 10AX048H3F34E2SG, pin AN16 (GND).

Hi Bryan,

 

Sorry but pls on hold your board rework first.

 

I found a workaround that maybe able to avoid board rework by using FPGA PLL to send clock to clkusr pin directly via some Quartus hacking method.

 

I will share more detail with you in our forum discussion thread.
