Hi,

easiest way is to look in the datasheet for the enhanced configuration devices. These are programmed via JTAG I/F, thus the circuit would be

"power, JTAG I/F to Header and usb-Blaster to program"

thx for your answer, but how do i connect the JTAG I/F to the epc1? it doesnt have the TDI,TCK,TDO,TMS pins. the datasheet does not list the epc1

Well, sorry, I missed the point (and my designs with the EPC1 are a long time ago)...

The EPC1 was the last EEPROM which cannot be programmed in-ciruit, i.e. you need to have programmer hardware (as for "standard" ROM) - there is no way to do this with the USB-Blaster itself.. In Ciruit programming started with the EPC2...

Sorry for confusing

From the EPC1 Datasheet:

"Programming support with Altera’s Master Programming Unit

(MPU) and programming hardware from Data I/O,

BP Microsystems, and other manufacturers"
