Quartus Programmer Converter crashes

loading cof file causes the program to crash consistently.

since attaching *.cof is not allowed, rename active-serial-4-rbf-generic.cof.txt to active-serial-4-rbf-generic.cof

Also, remove "#" from 1st column since:

  • The attachment's active-serial-4-rbf-generic.cof.txt content type (text/plain) does not match its file extension and has been removed.

Tried these versions:

21.3.0 build 170

23.1.0 build 115

Tried 22.1std2 build 922 however, Cyclone 10 gx is not supported by

Error (210009): Device 10cx220yu484i6g is not supported

Hi Wiliki,

I have raised this matter to the engineering team, and they have confirmed that it is indeed a bug. However, due to limited resources, it may take some time for them to develop a patch. This problem is planned to be fixed in a future release of Intel® Quartus® software.

Thank you for the update. I’m disappointed that the bug will not be fixed promptly, however, we figured out a command line equivalent to convert the files.

Hi Wiliki,

I'm pleased that you've discovered the workaround. I will now move this conversation to community support. This thread will be shifted to the community support. Once again, I apologize for the inability to promptly resolve the bug.
