Have any of you heard of protracer? here's an example: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z16vfhf3g0o ) It provides an incredible view of a golf balls trajectory.
Would something like this be possible to do with a High Quality Camera and an FPGA board? My thinking is along these lines: "after capturing the images, the camera is able to distinguish (using dsp) where the white ball is in each frame, and in the playback reconstruction it paints a line over the position of the ball. since these cameras have a very high sampling rate, they're able to create a very smooth, accurate line." I guess my 1st question would be how quality of a camera would you need to track a tiny white object up to 400 yards away? How do you neglect birds/other foreign objects? Do you guys know of any sample projects similar to this? Thanks for any and all input! I'm really looking forward to hearing from youLink Copied
