Stratix II EP2S15F484C5 and EPC4 pof file generation

Dear all,

I am working on a project using a EP2S15F484C5 and EPC4 device. The quartus version is 10 which is the latest that can be used.

When converting the .sof file to .pof file using the "Convert Programming File" command one is has to create two pages for the sof files to reside in or else the error "Programmer Object file for local update must use both Page 0 and Page 1" crops up.

Is there a way to use a single page only. We only need to program 1 FPGA with a single version at a time.

Thanks for the help,

Regards,

Joseph

Hi jozamm,

A Programmer Object File (.pof) for Local Update is a Programmer Object File that consists of a local update enabled Programmer Object File and additional local update enabled SRAM Object Files, and is used to program configuration devices in local update configuration mode. You create a local update enabled Programmer Object File by adding local update enabled SRAM Object Files to a Programmer Object File in the Convert Programming Files dialog box. Refer here for details: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/quartushelp/17.0/reference/glossary/def_pof.htm

and also here: https://www.terasic.com.tw/wiki/Chapter_4_Setting_for_change_.sof_file_to_.pof_file
