TERASIC dual xaui sfp card

Hello,

I am trying to generate some ethernet data through a daughter card from TERASIC dual xaui sfp.

I have a stratix 4 GX development board from ALTERA.

I have connected the 2 boards together and tested the hardware using the AN638 10 Gb reference design.

After I tried to push data out using my custom project.

The data generation through the 10 Gb IP CORE looks fine on the simulation level.

No matter what I try I don't manage to see activity on the link, I managed only to open it (the green light on the ethernet card, on the other side of the link, turns green).

The documentation of the TERASIC board gives me only pages with signal names, but I don't understand most of the signal meanings.

The reference design sets the PRTAD* (Channel 1 PHY Address LSB.) signals, but I don't know what they are used for.

Did someone use this board and manage to send data out ... which signals did you set to have activity on channel 0 or 1?

Thank you for any hints.
