Hi all.

I'm running quartus web-edition 12.0, on win7 64 bit.

I'm using cyclone II starter kit.

i ran through the nios2 hardware tutorial and downloaded the software correctly.

after that i tried to modify the qsys, by adding a simple rs232 uart.

thats when i first got the message.

then i started the tutorial from scratch, deleted the old files, but i still have the same problem!

i downloaded the correct .sof.

i checked - i have only one cable installed.

i checked the forum, for similar problems, but none of the solutions worked for me. :(

anyone have something similar?

do you have a license for NiosII?

if you don't, don't you get xxxx_timelimited.sof on your folder?

# you know, people who are not actually with you can not tell what is wrong exactly.

# this is a help as much as I can do.

so, you have checked timelimited module?

and that is fine, isn't it?

then check signals reset and clock to NiosII

you can check those signals in signal tapII

if you don't know signaltapII

there is a document for that.

see you.
