Hi all.
I'm running quartus web-edition 12.0, on win7 64 bit. I'm using cyclone II starter kit. i ran through the nios2 hardware tutorial and downloaded the software correctly. after that i tried to modify the qsys, by adding a simple rs232 uart. thats when i first got the message. then i started the tutorial from scratch, deleted the old files, but i still have the same problem! i downloaded the correct .sof. i checked - i have only one cable installed. i checked the forum, for similar problems, but none of the solutions worked for me. :( anyone have something similar?Link Copied

do you have a license for NiosII?
if you don't, don't you get xxxx_timelimited.sof on your folder? # you know, people who are not actually with you can not tell what is wrong exactly. # this is a help as much as I can do.- Mark as New
