Thunderbolt (PCIe) on FPGA

Hi, 

 Thunderbolt is a new interface that is making its way into the PC world.  The interface is made up of a PCIe and DisplayPort data stream. Using a single Intel chip (DSL2210 for instance) these datastreams can be separated. At least, this is what Intel suggests on their website. Datasheets for these components are not publicly available, but parts can be purchased through various distributors.  Since PCIe is supported by the cyclone/arria/stratix-GX FPGA's , I wonder if anyone has ever made a board- and FPGA-design that connects to the PCIe part of the Thunderbolt datastream using one of Intel's IC. I have not seen evidence that suggests this.  My questions: 1 Are my assumptions correct? 2 Do board and FPGA design-examples exist, and can they be shared?  Best Regards, Alex
