Trying to create JAM file (for Lattice device) to be used with Altera JAM Player

We are having difficulty creating a JAM file for a Lattice MACHXO2 device to be used with an Altera JAM Player (that is also configuring an Altera FPGA).

We ran the Altera SVF to JAM Conversion program (s2j_23.exe) to generatre the JAM file.

When we tried using this JAM file with the Altera JAM Player (JAM STAPL Player Version 2.5) we got an error regarding an ACTION keyword in the JAM file: Error: action "configure" is not supported for this Jam file.

The JAM file that was generated by the Altera SVF to JAM conversion program only has the ACTION keyword RUN_FILE in the JAM file.

A different JAM file (for the Altera FPGA) that we are using successfully with the Altera JAM Player has the ACTION keywords CONFIGURE, READ_USERCODE, and CHECK_IDCODE in the JAM file.

We were told by Altera that the Altera SVF to JAM Conversion Program may be too old since it was last updated in 2007.

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding being able to convert a Lattice device JEDEC file to a JAM file (JEDEC -> SVF -> JAM) that can be used with the Altera JAM Player?
