conflicts between usb blaster and other ftdi device!

Hello,

I am struggling with conflicts between usb blaster and ftdi serial.

I've seen that it was discussed long time ago,

see the link below.

Yet, I don't see that the new usb blaster driver resolve this issue :((

I also tried the workaround discussed in this link, but with no success:

There is no reference to ftdibus.sys in file usbblst.inf (by the way the file name is usbblstr.inf in latest 18.1 driver)

Can anyone help with it ?

Hi RShal4,

I'm apologize I couldn't help much for this issue.

However, I got some information regarding this issue from my ex-colleague.

Two things need to be take care:

  1. The underlying FTDI driver needed to be refreshed to a newer August, 2017 version to be fully WHQL compliant.
  2. The Intel signature for the driver had expired and needed to be re-generated.

And one more thing, here his comment "I successfully installed USB Blaster driver from 18.0's driver folder. I use OS Windows 10"

I hope this will help you to move forward.

Thanks😉

Hi,

I was mistaken: the problem still exists.

Seems that although I've installed August, 2017 version, there is some strange "competition" with blaster driver.

"The Intel signature for the driver had expired and needed to be re-generated."

How do we do this ?

Thanks,

ran
