Hi Intel FPGA Team,
we have designed custom board with cyclone 10 GX (CX085Y) series with flash series (MX25U256).we generated .pof file .we are unable to program the flash device. Every time it is failing. We are maintaining below conditions as per AS Mode .pof file programming
plaintextCopy codeCyclone 10 GX FPGA External Serial Flash
--------------------- -------------------------
MSEL[2:0] = 010 (Select AS mode)
DCLK <------------> SCLK (Flash Clock)
ASDI <------------> MOSI/SI (Data Input)
nCSO <------------> CS (Chip Select)
nCONFIG <------------> Pull-up to VCCIO (10 kΩ)
nSTATUS <------------> Pull-up to VCCIO (10 kΩ)
CONF_DONE <------------> Pull-up to VCCIO (10 kΩ)
VCCIO <------------> Flash Power Supply (3.3V or 2.5V)
GND <------------> Ground
could you please provide any way to do flash
Thanks

Hi,
flash should be connected according to device manual scheme, either ASx1 or ASx4 (Figure 122 respectively 123). Your above pin list is at least missing DATA -> AS_DATA1 connection for ASx1.
Device will be usually programmed through JTAG indirect programming from .jic file which has to be generated in programming file converter tool. Alternatively, dedicated AS programming interface can be implemented on PCA according to manual figure 127.
Regarding your latest post, AS pins are dedicated and don't need to be assigned in pin planner.

Hi,
thanks for your input as per your assumption my board have below ASX4 circuit mode and we have not provided AS mode header provision. We have tried below method for loading .pof file. after flashing .pof the program not booted when power on and done pins low only .after that we unable do .sof file programming also
we got error like when we adding pof file to flash after auto detection step .after flashing .pof we unable program sof and not booting also.
could you let us known the proper steps to flash pof file .
Thanks

Hi,
Apologize for the delay in response.
Do you get any new error after your last response here?
This is userguide for using SFL:
Have you follow the pin connection guidelines?
Also make sure you follow the device design guidelines:

Aiman
