In 2009 I purchases 2 copies of Quartus II v9.0. I was sent 2 serial numbers.
Someone in the office IT support group used 1 serial number to activate 1 copy and I have the license.dat file and the original email of the serial numbers.
But the computer died. I cannot get the self service licensing center to recognize me to even show the license, so I can move it to the new computer. I sent a request for help to the licensing customer support portal, but got no email response at all after 2 days.
So, I guess I need to somehow activate the 2nd serial number. After HOURS on Intel's website I cannot find any guidance for activating that version of Quartus II. It is not old enough (v8.1) to be legacy.
At one point the site wanted an FPGA ID, but does not not tell where that comes from. The serial number did not work.
How do I activate an old 2009 serial number without an INTEL HUMAN in the loop??

We have not heard from you and It is not recommended to keep a Case idle too long without activities. I will now transition this thread to community support. If you have a new question, feel free to open a new thread to get the support from Intel experts. Otherwise, the community users will continue to help you on this thread. Thank you.
