Hello achev2

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. We would like to inform you that we only provide support in the English language and we are using translator software to check the information you provided.

In order for us to take a look into this behavior, could you please provide the following information?

1- Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) driver versions:

a- previous version before the issue:

b- Version updated:

2- Screenshots showing the property "state: incompatible"

3- What type of RAID configuration do you have? (RAID 0, 1, 5, etc.)

4- Please run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) and attach the report to this thread.

4.1- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

4.2- Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

4.3- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

4.4- To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom left-hand corner of the response box.

Hello achev2,

After checking the reports, we noticed that the controller is set to SATA (AHCI), so this seems to point out that you do not have currently a RAID configuration in the system or not using Intel® SMART Response Technology. Is this correct?

The "state: incompatible status" is usually due to wrong format/mode. Based on the Intel® RST report, the disk with the "state: incompatible status" seems to be a 1TB Western Digital disk, however, we noticed it is not shown on the Intel SSU report. I would recommend you checking on Windows Disk Manager to check the current status of the disk.

To remove the "state: incompatible status", you can try a low-level format on the disk to set it as "unallocated", then you can re-format the drive. You can contact the drive manufacturer to see if they have any tool available for low-level format.

Please keep in mind that formatting the disk will erase the data.

Note:

If you are not running RAID configuration or Intel® SMART Response Technology there is no need for Intel® RST Software/driver. However, if you still want to install the software it is highly recommended to use the drivers from the system manufacturer, in this case, MSI*.

System manufacturers regularly customize Intel generic drivers to meet the needs of their specific system design. In such cases, use of the Intel generic driver update is not recommended.
