Hello SBrou1, Thank you for joining this Intel Community. If a recovery volume was created by Intel® RST, then it means that the drive was formatted. In case you would like to recover you data, you may need to contact a data recovery service or your system manufacturer. To delete the recovery volume, you need to reset the volume as non-raid in BIOS. You can perform these steps: -During boot, use CTRL-I to enter the RST BIOS Extension. This key combination may have been disabled by your computer manufacturer. If you are unable to enter the RAID BIOS extension, please contact your system manufacturer for more information. -Mark the drive as "Non-RAID". -Reboot your system. I hope you find this information helpful. Wanner G. Intel Customer Support Technician Under Contract to Intel Corporation

I'm having this same problem on my new laptop.

Hp Pavilion 15 Bc-450Ns.

Installed a raid 0 and now it is not possible to dismount it by not being able to access the bios to the raid option.

There should be some other way to access and solve the problem.

Thank you.

Hello JMart99, You can delete a RAID volume in two different way. Keep in mind that we always recommend backing up your data. A. Using the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology User Interface Utility 1.Run the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology UI from the following Start menu link: Start -> All Programs -> Intel® Rapid Storage Technology -> Intel® Rapid Storage Technology UI 2.Under ‘Status’ or ‘Manage’, click on the volume you want to delete. You will be presented with the volume properties on the left. 3.Click on ‘Delete volume’ 4.Review the warning message and click ‘Yes’ to delete the volume. 5.The ‘Status’ page refreshes and displays the resulting available space in the storage system view. B. Using the Option ROM User Interface -During POST, use CTRL-I to enter the RST BIOS Extension. -Mark the drive as "Non-RAID". -Reboot your system. **This key combination may have been disabled by your computer manufacturer. If you are unable to enter the RAID BIOS extension, please contact your system manufacturer for instructions. Wanner G. Intel Customer Support Technician Under Contract to Intel Corporation

Thanks for your response, but those options I have already commented that they are not possible, as a system volume does not allow deleting it from the RST, and the second problem for which I request help is that from the bios there is no option to access the raid , so I see that it is not possible to reverse the changes. They should create software that will work before the beginning of the S.O. and thus be able to eliminate the raid.

Thank you.
