Hello everyone,
I hope that I can find an answer here that is bothering me for some time, and also to be of some help to other community members.
I stumbled upon this thread that has a similar problem that I have:
I needed to open my own thread in order to try to solve this problem and hear an opinion from experts.
Problem:
I have installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver software v17.9.4.1017 For Windows 10 64-bit that came the other day from the manufacturers' support site.
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/TUF-Z390-PLUS-GAMING-WI-FI/HelpDesk_Download/
The motherboard is ASUS TUF Z390-PLUS Gaming (Wi-Fi) and OS is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit v1909 (Build 18363.1082)
Everything is fine except that Intel Driver & Support Assistant offers me to upgrade (downgrade?) to v16.8.3.1003 that have a release date: June 12, 2019
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28671
Steps tried so far:
1. I have used DSAUninstaller from this link:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29608
2. Deleted the old DSA folder from:
3. Installed Intel® Driver & Support Assistant from this link:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28425
Question:
Is there any chance to exclude this driver from detection and not bother me anymore, or not to offer me this version in the first place? And if so, what should I do?
Thanks to everyone who can respond.

This problem has been successfully solved since I updated the Intel Driver & Support Assistant v20.10.42.5. I haven't seen any new pop-ups since and now it is possible to hide future updates that were problematic. Thanks for the quick fix.
