Intel RST installations is completely broken and I don't know how to fix it without completely reinstalling my OS.

Intel(R) 8 Series/C220 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller

Gigabyte ga-z87-hd3

currently I have 12.0.0.1082 driver. And it's only one that sort of working. I think I installed it from cd that came with mb. But it installed wrong - I can't delete intel RST (no such entry in install/delete programs and no uninstall file either) and it seems like it can't be updated properly too. (for some reason ui stoped working to after I tried to fix my issue - now , after clicking on tray icon, it just asks me if I want to run this program but it never actually starts, only process)

The reason I want to update it - it seems trim is not working with it (used trimcheck 0.7, waited a day, checked on 2 of my SSDs - kingston v300 and crucial m500).

And even bigger problem - I managed to somehow update to different version (though it probably was partial too as rst ui program version stayed the same 12) but it caused freezes to my OS with 100% activiti on my crucial (seems to be LPM related).

Please try uninstalling the software and install this one:

Also can tell me where is the SSD connected to? Is it connected to Intel® SATA port? What raid type do you have? Is It Raid 1 or Raid 0?

I don't have raid. It's intel sata port (I don't believe I have others, only one controller in device manager anyway).

And I can't uninstall software for reasons I described. There is simply no way. And updating it doesnt work either. It just says it installed intel RST software but in reality nothing changed and only en-US, ru-Ru etc. folders get updated.

If the installation went wrong you could try reinstalling it or perhaps uninstalling it from Safe mode.

If you are still having problems I think you may need to reinstall the Operating System to erase any bug on the system

That's the problem. I can't reinstall it or uninstall it the right way (since the only way to do this due to a bad design is by entry in (de)installation of programs from control panel but there is none for intel RST and I doubt it would work since updating doesn't work either). So i posted here in hope there is solution somewhere for this problem that doesn't include fresh install of OS with days spent on recovering all my software.

I understand but the correct way to uninstall it is from Programs/Features.

I found this link on the web so maybe can be of help. We do not recommend doing this steps so it will be your decision to apply it or not:

I know It will sound annoying but my recommendation is to reinstall Operating System to get rid of any bug on the system.
