I know that TRIM support was added for RAID 0 years ago, but I can't find anything confirming whether TRIM is supported in RAID 5.
My motherboard has a Z97 chipset and I'm using Samsung 860 EVO drives.

Hello Lylat1an,
Thank you for posting on the Intel Community.
We have this article that confirms that Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) version 11.0 or greater supports TRIM functionality in RAID 0.

Please allow me some time to investigate if there’s any documentation available about TRIM with RAID 5. I will be posting back as soon as the outcome becomes available.
Best regards,
Oscar A.

Hello Lylat1an,
Thank you for your time.
TRIM functionality is not supported with SSDs part of a RAID 5, it would be supported in RAID 0 only.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for looking into this for me.
I look forward to the day when RAID 5 gets TRIM support.
