I own a Dell XPS 15 9560 which originally shipped with a 1TB HDD and a 32G M.2 drive which it uses as cache. I recently replaced the mechanical drive with an SSD. The Intel RST software now states "Acceleration using solid-state drives: Disabled". How can I enable it again?

Once you reach the Intel RST generations that support Intel Optane, you lose support for Intel SRT (std. SSD caching). This is what intel had to do to make their Optane products look good ok. Intel SRT performed so well that it had to go.
Sorry Intel, I have to call 'em like I sees 'em.
