I am a tech for 20+ years. I think I've troubleshot something down to the motherboard and want to see what you think. I have 4 14TB's, in two intel mirrors (Raid1) They are brand new drives.

Every time I reboot, one or two (rarely 3) of my harddrives go offline: See, I just did some windows updates and now two of the 4 have disappeared, and both RAID 1's are rebuilding.

The OS is on the Samsung m.2 SSD, the HDD are just for media storage. I've replaced HDD after HDD but it's never tied to a single HDD. And all the tests on each HDD show 100% fine. No faults, it's just constantly "
forgetting" it's in a RAID, or the HDD disappears until I reboot again, and them 80% of the time it's back. Or the other one is offline. I mark them as "Normal" and the raid starts to rebuild. I've tried many version of Intel RST, no change. AsRock says it's not them. It's not the HDD. Swapped Ram, it's not the RAM. Relevant Event Manager shows upon reboot:

Volume 14GB_0 degraded.

0x800702E4: Cannot create the process for package AppUp.IntelOptaneMemoryandStorageManagement_18.1.1026.0_x64__8j3eq9eme6ctt because an error was encountered while launching. [LaunchProcess]

Lots of other stuff in the Event Manager.

Thoughts?
