How often is verification and repair recommended on a Raid 1?

How do I observe inconsistencies in the drives? Isn't this where 'verify and repair' is for?

Thank you for your response.

 

You could use it any time for checking if there is an issue; nevertheless, the Intel ® Rapid Storage Technology software should let you know if there is an issue with a drive or a degradation of the RAID prior doing the "verify and repair". 

 

Still, you can use it and it will verify for errors and repair if needed, it would be up to your needs when or how often to do this.

I've checked your previous post; thank you for the reply.

 

It happened a couple of time that RST started with verify and repair by itself (this slowed down my system dramatically) and I wanted to prevent this by doing a verify and repair on a regular basis.

 

I run the RST every week now just in case.
