I changed the CPU on the same motherboard from 12700K to 14900K. The system boots to a green screen with the error message 'Cannot find the system drive.' The system drive is an Intel RAID 1 of two NVMe M.2 drives.

Many things can go wrong, when we take our system apart.
There is a chance specific BIOS settings to have return at default state.
And now you need to configure them again.
In order of you to kill most doubts (hardware issue), please reinstall the older CPU and check if your system health this is restored.

Already did that and yes it boots with the old proc just fine. And of course the BIOS has been updated. I did that first. Preping a Windows to Go USB to replace the raid driver with a new one compatible to the 14900.
