Renew the license of older versions of Intel Compilers

Hi,

I'm a Ph.D. student at Colorado School of Mines and have been using Intel Parallel Studio XE 2013  for compiling and running the Fortran code in Abaqus (Software by Dassault Systems)  since last year. The code is written in Fortran77 and only works with the older intel compilers. The license expired this month.  Due to this problem, my research has come to halt entirely. Is there any way to renew the license? I also tried Intel oneAPI compilers but it doesn't seem to support the various intrinsic functions of Fortran77.

Hi Prasoongarg,

Thanks for getting back to us on the post. Please understand the Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite is a legacy product. We have transitioned to Intel® oneAPI Toolkits. Due to that, there is no guarantee of the extension of the free/student license for the legacy product. However, we understand the situation. We would recommend you try emailing them again.

However, if you don't hear back from them in a week, the only other way we can suggest to avail Intel® Parallel Studio XE suite is by purchasing a commercial or academic license for Intel® oneAPI Toolkits. You may contact our Resellers or visit our Webstore for the purchase.

Note: We have seen the email attachment and saved the information on our end. However, removed the attachment from the forum reply as your license serial number was publicly available through it.

Regards,

Soumya

Hi Prasoongarg,

Thanks for posting your concern. We understand the situation. Based on the information we would suggest, you email your existing license serial number (that you would like to extend) and contact information to 'software_tools_request@intel.com' to request a license. Please visit the below link and scroll down to the bottom of the page for reference.

Hi,

I already emailed to same id last week about extending the license  (See attachment) but haven't received any reply.  Please look into the issue. My research is completely stopped for two weeks due to this minor issue

Hi,

I purchased the academic license for Intel® oneAPI Toolkits with priority support. How do I get Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2013 now? I already tried submitting an online request using the link below. The portal is still directing me to the community forums.
