I need to compile Fortran code on both windows and Linux platforms and Intel MPI is not used here. What is the minimal license I should buy? Should I buy Intel oneAPI Base + HPC Toolkit (Single-Node)? The difference between "single-node" and "multi-node" is "ifort" vs "mpiifort"? My understanding is that the executable compiled with "single-node" license can still run on multi-node clusters (of course without Intel MPI support), am I correct? Thanks!
Hi Lin, in your case a Single Node license should work well. During the transition of Intel® Parallel Studio XE, Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition and Intel® Parallel Studio XE Professional Edition transitioned over to Intel® oneAPI Base & HPC Toolkit(Single-node). For Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition, that transitioned over to Intel® oneAPI Base & HPC Toolkit(Multi-node).
