12-pin AXXTPMENC8 TPM for S2600ST LGA 3647 motherboard

Hello there. I am trying to find a TPM 2.0 module for my Intel S2600ST dual socket LGA 3647 motherboard.

According to the manual, it should be a 12-pin AXXTPMENC8 module, the only problem is that AXXTPMENC8 is a 14-pin module while the motherboard's connector is indeed a 12-pin one.

Where can I find this misterious 12-pin connector or at least some specification of it.

Hi Ragulan. Thank you for the extra info but how does it help me? This thread is half a month old and got more than 15 messages from almost 10 different Intel employees. So far, nobody can give me a clear answer, where is the documentation and specification of AXXTPMENC8, is it a 12-pin or a 14-pin module, and where it is or was available for purchase?

I know that AXXTPMENC8 was discontinued but that does not help me in any way. It is remarkable but the official specification page of AXXTPMENC8 does not specify how many pins this module has. Here is the product page:

Mouser Electronics is a large distributor that claims that AXXTPMENC8 is a 14-pin module.

Do I understand you correctly, that because AXXTPMENC8 is EOL, Intel does not know how many pins it has (or had) and does not have any specifications?
 
To be honest, this sounds completely ridiculous. I am not asking for warranty service, I am not asking to sell me an EOL product, I am simply asking for the specification of an Intel product. If this is the wrong place to ask, who shall I turn to?

Upon checking, unfortunately the 14-pin TPM photo in S2600ST configuration guide is out of date and should be 12 pin. Our humble apologies for this confusion caused. 

Attached photo is an AXXTPMENC8 physical module, which has PBA J33565-xxx and it's 12-pin and that as it is end of life it may be available through the sources below but Intel® cannot guarantee their inventory levels and does not support warranty or support these products.

Unfortunately, your answers are absolutely useless and the so-called "plan of actions" does not help in any way.

I still don't know and you failed to asnwer:

- Where to buy a 12-pin module AXXTPMENC8.

- Why Intel authorized distributors have no idea about the 12-pin version of AXXTPMENC8.

- Why Intel authorized distributors sell 14-pin AXXTPMENC8 modules instead.

- Why Intel documentation in one place says that AXXTPMENC8 is 12-pin and in another place says that it's 14-pin.

- What is the pin-out specification of the 12-pin module.

I am not sure why we are going around the same issues all over again. Thank you for the answer but it does not help in any way and only adds even more frustration to the issue.

Do I understand you correctly, that Intel silently changed a product from a 14-pin to a 12-pin connector, did not update the documentation, did not inform the authorized retailers about it, and does not even have documentation about the new 12-pin version?

It seems like you either didn't read my messages or just mocking me. I have already specified multiple times, that I have contacted several authorized retailers, they offer me 14-pin version, but they have no clue about the 12-pin option. Maybe you can send me a link to a product page instead?

I understand that AXXTPMENC8 is end of life, I understand that it may no longer be available for purchase, and I understand that the documentation is outdated and wrongly mentions the 14-pin version. All I am asking for is a simple PDF file with the pinout specification of the 12-pin version of the AXXTPMENC8 TPM 2.0 module.

Please find the updates we have gotten from our internal team in regards with your queries.

1. AXXTPMENC8 is 12-pin. and not 14-pin module, it might be a previous generation TPM for other generation server board, which is showed in https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000017015/server-products/server-boards.html. 12-pin is the TPM AXXTPMENC8 used for S2600ST
2.  Our engineering team doesn't have any documentation with 12 Pin TPM Module.
3. In customer's page, there is a link https://www.ebay.com/itm/266562844499?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338941691&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1, which has a picture with J33565-001 in the marking and it's 12-pin. The J33565-xxx is the correct TPM for S2600ST.

Hi Ragulan and thank you for the answer but unfortunately, it does not help me either.

1. I do understand that AXXTPMENC8 is a 12-pin module according to the updated documentation, the problem is that there is also a 14-pin module and non of the authorized Intel retailers I contacted, know about the 12-pin version.

2. Do I understand you correctly that Intel does not have documentation for the Intel made products?

3. Thank you for the link, the eBay seller says that it's just a stock picture and they don't know whether the module is 12-pin or 14-pin because it's shipped from a remote warehouse.

I find it hard to believe that such a large corporation as Intel does not have specifications and/or documentation for its own products. If you, as an Intel employee, confirm that there is no documentation for AXXTPMENC8 module, I have no other option but to accept that Intel's customer support is simply incompetent, Intel sells products without any documentation, and I have to seek help elsewhere.
