We are system builders from Santiago Chile, Intel channel member Business ID:# 10461610 and recently some clients are asking us about workstations. We`re buying two XEON 5506 along with the board Asus Z8NA-D6C and PNY NVIDIA QUADRO FX 4800
The purpose of this workstation is for rendering and modelling with MAYA and 3DMAX

My question is about memory configuration, Its true this processors works with DDR3 800mhz memory modules, but we can not find those frequecies here in the market, only DDR3 1066 and 1333
Can we use this memory pack with the above configuration?

and set the frequency to 800mhz?
What is the best configuration?
Would you be so kind and help me a bit with this dilema?
I would be much appreciated

On the processor side yes E5506 will slow down 1066 or 1333 MHz DIMM to 800 MHz. However you may want to check with board vendor whether this DIMM model has been validated or not.
