Hi.
I have an S5000VSA board and are having troubble running efi commands.
I boot in to EFI and insert USB stick with files to update bios and so on, but when I try to run any file, it just gives me the following command:
"xxxx.efi is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file"
If I run the startup.nsh it just gives the same error over and over for all the files in the script.
I have tried several USB sticks and several .efi files.
Any ideas?

Hello mailto:frank@nilzen.net frank@nilzen.net,
Thanks for joining the community.
By any chance are you trying to update the firmware on this board? If that is the case it says that you need to create a bootable DOS USB Disk-On-Key Device according to this URL:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19666/Firmware-Update-Package-for-DOS?product=77877 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19666/Firmware-Update-Package-for-DOS?product=77877
On newer systems this error usually happens when the EFI files are not in the root directly. So you can try to format the USB drive in FAT32 file system and copy all the files to the root directory without any folders. But not sure if this will work because of the bootable DOS USB Disk-On-Key Device requirement.
Please keep us posted

Hello mailto:frank@nilzen.net frank@nilzen.net,
BIOS update and most utilities for this board is DOS based. Some of these utilities are only supported under EFI 2.0 and this board has an older generation. It should be 1.0 or 1.1.
This is the firmware download URL which I think you already know: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19666/Firmware-Update-Package-for-DOS?product=77877 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19666/Firmware-Update-Package-for-DOS?product=77877
Hope this helps

Hi Jose.
Thanks for your answer.
I have tried to update BIOS yes, but this error comes regardless of what I am trying to run.
If I boot in to EFI and tries the SELviewer.efi I get the same error.
I have updated to the latest bios using bootable dos usb stick.
I have also tested different usb sticks, all formated as FAT32.
Any other ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks
