I have a amber light at the rear view of the S2600GZ box.

The light is inside the chassis near to MGMT port and I can't find any material showing what the led means. No issue with the server overall. Check Attachment

Any help would be appreciated

Hello Kamlesh,

With the amber light on the back of the system near the MGMT port. Is part of the serious of LED status. This information can be found at the http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/s2600gzgl_tps_r2_4.pdf Technical Product Specs, page 95 (10. Light Guided Diagnostics). First I will recommend to plan some down time, this will help you to open the server and verify the exact light that is Amber, but also can double check:
  • If there is no other amber lights on the system board.
  • If the system is only running one memory stick.
  • If all FANs are running.
  • And if you are able to boot to the OS

If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Hello Kamlesh,

Thank you for the information provided. The system is reporting several problems with Power Supply and fans going off-line and then back on-line.

Are you using an Intel Chassis?

Please ensure that the power supply is connected to a proper UPS or if possible to connect it to a different outlet.

Also, I will recommend to flash BIOS to latest version, or re-flash BIOS to ensure the BMC detects all FANs and Power Supply configuration. The latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26618/Intel-Server-Board-S2600GZ-GL-Firmware-Update-for-Intel-OFU-and-WinPE-?product=77886 BIOS can be download from our web site. Extract the information and please follow the information on the S2600GZ_GL_Update_Instructions.txt file.

If there is anything else we can help please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
