[BUG] Latest Intel XTU showing wrong CPU usage on Xeon W5-2455X

CPU usage is shown in low single digits (i.e. 7-8%) while the actual usage is >95%.

Verified using Windows Task Manager, and other diagnostic tools.

As you can see in the screenshot, CPU usage is shown as 6% while running Prime 95 small FFT at 4.6 GHz -- power draw should be indicator enough of the actual CPU utilization.

Regarding Intel® XTU showing wrong CPU usage on Xeon W5-2455X, could you please provide the below information to check and assist you further?


1. Kindly provide the complete system details you are using (model, motherboard details).

2. Please let us know if you are using the below-mentioned applications on the system


  • CPU-Z* version 2.0 and later
  • Corsair iCUE*


NOTE: Intel® XTU may display incorrect values due to other monitoring applications running in the background.


3. Did the issue start after any update you performed on the system, or was it never working?
