Bifurcation

Hi Support,

We are testing a Mobo M50CYP2SB2U. (Board Chipset Intel® C621A Chipset) with 2 x  Network Adapter E810-CQDA2

We have set the CPU 0 and CPU 1 to allocate x8x8 in the bios to the two E810 boards and it has no effect on the throughput, we are testing 100Gbps per port and we can only get 100Gbps max at any one time, can someone confirm if this Mobo can support Bifurcation or do we need the UR board or a specific riser card?

Thanks

Hello JamesT65,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

To continue with your request would you mind providing the following information:

1-Is this server board part of an Intel® Data Center Blocks (Intel® DCB)?

2-Can you please share with us the steps that you followed in order for you guys to partially set up the bifurcation by allocating the two x8 PCIe lanes with both CPU 0 and CPU 1? A picture of the specific section or sections used will be very much appreciated as well.

3-Please confirm the specific model of motherboard that you have from the link below:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/series/201606/intel-server-board-m50cyp-family.html

Note: The M50CYP2SB2U doesn’t show in our records.

4-Do you have the board’s BMC (Baseboard management controller) configured?

Note: If you have the BMC configured please provide the following logs if possible:

Debug log

SEL log

Instructions:

To Generate the SEL log from within the Server please use the following path directly in your baseboard manager controller: BMC Health->Event Log->Save Event Log section.

5-A Sys info log will also be helpful if possible:
