Hello. New here, so please be easy on me. I have a server board S2600WTT with the following
BIOS Name: BIOS Date: 12/02/13 10:59:34 Ver: 08.00.10
BIOS Version: SE5C610.86B.01.01.0005.101720141054
BIOS Release Date: 2014-10-16
Things seem to work fine. My question is, should I upgrade to latest firmware? What would be the proper version (version steps) to upgrade to. Not how to update, but the next version. Can I go straight to the latest version? Or version by version?
Thanks

Hello LarryWhitney,
Thank you for joining the Intel community
On the download page for the previous BIOS release 01.01.1028, it states the System Requirements to perform the BIOS update to System BIOS - 01.01.1028 released on Dec. 27 2018: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28696/eng/README_&_Update_Instructions.txt
SYSTEM SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
********************************************************************************
To update the system software stack to the versions included in this update
package, the system software stack currently installed on the target server
system MUST meet the following or the update will fail:
- System BIOS - Production version 01.01.0005 or later
- ME Firmware - Production version 03.00.07.114 or later
- BMC Firmware - Production version 1.07.6909 or later
The system requirements section for the latest version 01.01.1029 released on Set. 24 2020 seems to be somehow confusing since it states it requires
System BIOS - Production version 01.01.0029 or later
ME Firmware - Production version 03.01.03.072 or later
BMC Firmware - Production version 1.60.12335 or later (only change from july 2020 release)
Either way, you can try to do a 2 steps update, from 01.01.0005 to 01.01.1028, and from 01.01.1028 to 01.01.1029.
Hope this helps
