Hello,
I am a graduate student researching the confidential computing area.
For my research, I want to modify some behavior of the TDX module and experiment with various workloads on top of the modified TDX module.
Our lab has an Emerald Rapids machine with TDX Module 1.5.
Is it possible to do this using the TDX Module GitHub repository (https://github.com/intel/tdx-module), or is there any other program or environment that supports researchers in experimenting with custom TDX modules for their projects?

Hello Jaehyeon_Lee,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For us to further check this, please help provide the following details:
- What is the complete model of the processor?
- Have you already tried this and did you get an error?
- What is the end goal of this test?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your response.
- The processor model is INTEL(R) XEON(R) GOLD 6548N in a Supermicro Superserver with X13DEI-T board.
- I have not attempted the build and install because according to an issue on GitHub (https://github.com/intel/tdx-module/issues/3), it is stated that "Intel does not provide an environment to run TDX with non-signed binaries." I would like to confirm if this is accurate and if there are alternative methods available to achieve this.
- The goal of this test is to implement a research idea to demonstrate that the desired security property can be achieved while maintaining reasonable performance.
Could you provide guidance on whether running TDX with non-signed binaries is possible, or suggest any alternative approaches to accomplish my goal?
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards,
Jaehyeon Lee

Additional questions I have :
Why are only three VMs supported in TD-partitioning? Is this due to a hardware limitation or specific issues related to the TDX module implementation that could potentially be resolved by extending the TDX modules?
