Hi guys,

i need help. We have the intel mainboard S2600GZ and our supplier says to us, that we need the BIOS Version 01.01.1002 for the CPU Upgrade. On the Intel Download Site i can't find this Version of BIOS. By other Version the server show no screen and no BIOS. The server starts only with E5-2640 CPU by each BIOS Version of the Intel Site. Have anyone this special Version?

Thanks!

Hello FranklinS._Intel,

in the Syslogs i don't find any information of an error. Maybe it's up to the revision of the motherboard for this error. Can you tell me what revision i have?

The P/N is DA0S6GMB8C1 Rev C. My suppliers says that i need rev 2.1 for the Ivy Bridge CPUs. On a BIOS Chip is S6G BIOS CS BD5B Rev 1.02.0005.

When i have the rev 1.02 than i buy Sandy Bridge CPUs with 8 Cores. No problem.

Thanks

Best regards,

Philippe

We wanted you to share your system logs so that we can check what software version different components of your hardware are running on. In that way, we could help you find out which update path is best for you. Hi Elmundo9,

After checking your sysinfo_log we can see that you can simply upgrade to the latest version by using the software package located at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/26962/Intel-Server-Board-S2600GZ-GL-Firmware-Update-...

Follow the Standard Update Procedure from the embedded EFI Shell explained in the Read Me (txt) file.

Thank you,
