Hi guys,
i need help. We have the intel mainboard S2600GZ and our supplier says to us, that we need the BIOS Version 01.01.1002 for the CPU Upgrade. On the Intel Download Site i can't find this Version of BIOS. By other Version the server show no screen and no BIOS. The server starts only with E5-2640 CPU by each BIOS Version of the Intel Site. Have anyone this special Version?
Thanks!

Hello FranklinS._Intel,
in the Syslogs i don't find any information of an error. Maybe it's up to the revision of the motherboard for this error. Can you tell me what revision i have?
The P/N is DA0S6GMB8C1 Rev C. My suppliers says that i need rev 2.1 for the Ivy Bridge CPUs. On a BIOS Chip is S6G BIOS CS BD5B Rev 1.02.0005.
When i have the rev 1.02 than i buy Sandy Bridge CPUs with 8 Cores. No problem.
Thanks
Best regards,
Philippe

Hi Elmundo9,
After checking your sysinfo_log we can see that you can simply upgrade to the latest version by using the software package located at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/26962/Intel-Server-Board-S2600GZ-GL-Firmware-Update-Package-for-Extensible-Firmware-Interface-EFI-?httpDown=https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26962/eng/S2600GZ_GL_EFI_BIOS02060006_ME020107328_BMC0128r10603_FRUSDR114.zip
Follow the Standard Update Procedure from the embedded EFI Shell explained in the Read Me (txt) file.
Thank you,
