Assuming HDDs are controlled by onboard SATA, can I boot from an NVMe SSD in the M.2 slot? Motherboard is S2600STB. SSD is P4101 (1.024TB, M.2 80mm PCIe* 3.0 x4, 3D2, TLC). Thanks.

Hello Brendan,

Thank you for joining the community

It is certainly possible to boot from a NVMw SSD connected in the M.2 slot

M.2 NVMe drives can only boot while on UEFI mode. SATA M.2 drives can boot in either UEFI or legacy modes.

For more detailed info check the Technical Product Specification at section 6.3

Hope this helps
